Professional Competence

Drivers of vehicles in categories C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE, which operates public transport or transport on own account, must have driver qualification card.

The course is for initial and recurrent training.
Initial training will be subject candidates who hold a driving license:

Cat. “C” and “CE” – After September 10, 2009; Cat. “D” and “DE” – After September 10, 2008

After passing the initial training, candidates are subject to periodic training every five years.

If you own a driving license:

Cat. “C” and “CE” Before September 10, 2009; Cat. “D” and “DE” Before September 10, 2008 

Applying for a professional competence card can be done every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday until 12.00 in DAI Varna.

Courses can be held in licensed offices on request at:

• Varna, 10 Veles st.;  • Devnya, 206 Saedinenie bul.

Exceptions:

Qualification card driver is not required:

  1. When transporting passengers and cargo with vehicles with a maximum design speed not exceeding 45 km / h;
  2. When transporting passengers and cargo carried by the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Agency “National Security” state enterprises “Construction and Renovation”, “Transport Construction and Renovation” and “Communications Construction and recovery, ” related to the implementation of the legally defined their public tasks, as well as allied and / or foreign forces passing through the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and staying on it;
  3. When transporting passengers and cargo in case of disasters, accidents and other emergencies;
  4. In case of vehicles used for the training of candidates for acquiring a license to drive a motor vehicle or qualification card driver;
  5. In case of vehicles undergoing road tests for technical development, repair or maintenance, or new or rebuilt vehicles which have not yet been placed on the market;
  6. When  driving vehicles used for personal use, non-commercial purpose;
  7. For driving vehicles carrying material or equipment necessary for the driver to carry out its main business.
